Reupholstering my Desk Chair
I've been meaning to reupholster my chair for quite some time now, but never got around to it until last night. It was really quick and easy to do!!
I've never done this before, but I must say it turned out pretty neat.
This is also a great idea for those who are on a budget but want a nice looking desk chair. Go to your local thrift store/ goodwill and buy a cheap chair. It doesn't have to be a pretty one because you can always reupholster it!
What you'll need:
-Staple gun
-fabric (preferably something thicker than cotton)
-scissors
-hex key (depending on the chair)
-Take apart the chair. My chair required a hex key to take it apart.
-Rip off all of the fabric that's on there. I just tugged at the fabric until the staples popped out.
-After removing all of the staples. Cut out some fabric! Make sure that you cut the fabric a little bigger than the actual size of the seat or back support.
-Also make sure that while you're stapling the fabric on that you're pulling the fabric pretty tightly.
-After stapling the fabric on reassemble your chair.
I totally forgot to take a before and after picture, but I think you get the gist!
