Easy Pop-out Christmas Cards
Need a quick and easy idea for christmas cards? I got your back. I literally googled pop-up holiday cards and found that this christmas tree template was circling around quite a bit. Follow along with me on my journey.
Supplies:
-Paper --> For the trees I chose a pretty glittery 6x6" paper and an embossed white paper for the front and back of the card (All from Joann Fabrics- feel free to choose any paper size)
-Scissors or X-acto knife
-Rhinestones (I managed to buy some rhinestone stickers from Michaels Craft Store for $1.50)
Step 1: Print out the template. I took the image I found on google and copied and pasted the image into a word doc. I then resized the image to fit the size of my paper (6"x6"). Printed out the image and cut along the borders. This template may be reused for multiple cards.
Step 2: Fold your card paper and your template in half (vertically). Lay the template over the card paper. Make sure that you are laying the template on top of the back of your card paper (if the paper you're using has a one sided design, like the glitter paper I chose to use).
Step 3: Cut along the solid lines. You may choose to use scissors or an x-acto knife.
Step 4: After you're done cutting, fold along the dotted lines and push the paper through to the other side.
Step 5: Throw some rhinestone "ornaments" on your tree and add any other embellishments you feel like!
Step 6: Glue a piece of paper to the back of the tree. This will be the front and back cover of your awesome card.
Step 7: Admire your awesome work.
