String Art

I decided to attempt this whole string art thing. Follow along with me on my journey. . .

My supplies:

Colorful string
Nails (1")
Wooden board
Hammer
Paper
Printer

Step 1: I picked a word to put on my board. I decided that a three letter word would be best seeing as though my board was like 5" by 7". I settled for the word ego, I'm not exactly sure why I picked that particular word. . . But now I have Beyonce's song stuck in my head. Then I printed it out.

Step 2: I guess I could have transferred the word onto the board with a marker or something, but I'm too lazy for that so I just centered the paper onto the board and started nailing nails in. I realized that I'm really bad at nailing nails, I can never get them to be straight. . .

Step 3: Forget to put a nail in the middle of the E and got frustrated. It took me forever to get that nail into this tricky spot!!

Step 3: Ripped out the paper from underneath.

Step 4: Spray painted the board and nails white. I spray painted the correct way as well, you know the really long way! Where you stand a million feet away and spray paint in a million light coats. . . yeah that way.

Step5: Weaved some string in between the nails.

Step 6: Forgot how E's actually looked and weaved in the string wrong. Made me laugh.

Step 7: Tied off my strings and admired my work.
